This is an Original Vertical Exide Batteries Sign  It measures 56 1/2 x 15 3/4 and was made sometime between late 1940s to early 1960s.  The raised, dimensional lettering, also called “tin embossed” was a popular postwar gas station design.  Exide Technologies traces back to the late 1800s and became one of the dominant battery suppliers in the U.S., especially for automotive and industrial use.
